I am so homesick hearing these sounds! Thanks for sharing. Made my day, that's for sure. Mom and chicks look great.

Thanks Wendy, in the first audio, she is irritated that I'm following her...and that look is classic Henriella. She's a Japanese Saipon and her chicks look like Silver Wyandottes, which we also have. Have a great day...

I know of both your breeds although I have not raised, or had much close observation of either. What a wonderful combination, I think. Or maybe a "wait and see?" Free range chickens will make their own choices when given the freedom to do so, without intentional interference (as you and Sandor well know). But then, that could be a whole other kind of conversation... . Can't wait to see pics of the newbies as they mature. How thoughtful of you to post some "best" moments of the day to share with others.. BTW, I am also in love with the Kingfisher! I envy the climate in GA in some ways. In so many ways, I love the Canadian seasons too. You are an amazing expert on seasons - of all sorts. Thanks.
